I, Madman a 1989 horror thriller about a beautiful woman called Virginia, engrossed in horror novels, finds interest in a particular writer Malcom Brand’s books. His books are maniacal, cruel and scary to the core but that doesnt stop her from turning the pages. It feels like the book is calling out to her, she sees herself as the portagonist of the story, and then from there on the plot twists into fiction and reality merging. People close to her dies and she sees Malcom frequently.Slowly she realises that what Malcom wants is her heart with or without her life. What happens to virginia and the people she love? What happens to Malcom ? Forms the crux of the story. The climax was predictable, a little too sexual and focused on beauty. A little too dramatical, but mostly set in the night it gives a certain kind of thrill to watch it in the night. Also it leaves a thought, what happens if the plot of a movie comes to reality and happens to be in your life? What happens if its gruesome? Think!Maybe next time someone will leave a book at your doorstep and you will start to spiral into a world of chaos.
