So here I am putting my experiences in writing to enlighten you "My readers" with the little knowledge I gained being a "Fresher" and searching for jobs. Being a fresher I applied for many kinds of jobs both IT and Non IT. Now you may be thinking why? well, I like to have fun working in different "roles" rather than being in one single role for the rest of my life. So I had applied for jobs like software developer, Digital Marketing and Content Writer. Now, the first interview was a very casual one which was in my dads friends company. Now don't take me wrong, it was not a cake walk or anything favorable to me it was just as a part of giving me some experience. As I talked more with him or technically speaking as the interview went further I understood they were not ready to take up a fresher for now. They were only working with Android and at the present moment didn't have the time to train a fresher. Further when I talked with him I felt like he was trying to divert me from the post of a "Software Developer" to a "Content Writer " . As I was keenly observing him and his talks all I inferred from it was that they had some internal feuds in their company and didn't go well internally. They couldn't come into terms with themselves in the first place and so their work reduced to just Android and they shrinked into something lesser than what they were actually.
Then I went for an interview in another company which was a big company in terms of work and experience and also they were looking for freshers. Again, I went for the post of software developer. Here, happened my real interview! I had prepared very well for my aptitude test and attended it . Soon after my results came and I was in, they gave me and the other candidate with me the time of a day to prepare for the interview. So the next day after preparing randomly what I studied, I went to attend the interview. I met with a software developer, who asked me to "introduce myself" which I had read in google that was a sure question for freshers. After that he asked me about" classes and objects", "OOPS Concept" which I said. Then he asked me to write an SQL Command in which I made a mistake, for which I felt ashamed for the next few minutes. Then he asked me to print just "hello world" which felt like an insult to me because that cannot even be considered as a question, but I wrote that too. Then he asked me to write a string program where possibly I had a confusion. And still I managed to write something closer to that and then he asked me if that program can be written using a single for loop by the time I had drained most of my confidence. So I said "yes" but my face didn't look any confident. As I came out of the cabin and climbed steps to the sitting room where we were previously I saw the other candidate coming out smiling at me and said she was selected for the next round without saying a word I pressed the the button to go down using the lift. She asked me to stop and told me maybe I will also get a positive result but I never wanted to get rejected on my face and also I didn't feel confident. So I vanished like a puff of smoke quickly from the situation taking the lift. I was angry on the girl and blocked her for no reason, I just simply didn't want to face her. Later my dad asked if the girl had texted me regarding the job and I told I blocked her. He told that was very bad from my side and I shouldn't be doing it. He told me to face things rather than running away from me and so I unblocked her.
Then I went for an interview for the post of content writing, I just thought maybe I can find my luck there. And I was right , after the initial interview and the written test and the third interview I was selected for the post. But the three months training period I was only offered only Rs.8000. But when the HR called for the final meeting with their MD she mentioned in the call six months 8000 rupees to which I said no you previously mentioned three months for 8000 and she quickly said yeah..yeah. But that was the moment I decided I would not do that job because I felt they changed their plans according to their convenience.
They wanted a fresh mind who produced new contents within hours and for a less salary. So I didn't take up the job, and at the same time my mind was saying that I should take up the job for which I studied and not for any other post. Later my dad revealed that the girl who said she got selected for the post of software developer in the previous company was actually just making me believe she got the job so that I would not participate for the next round and there was only one post and she could take it. This made me feel played on, but then my dad told this is how the world is all are greedy so we should not believe everything what anyone says unless we are not sure about it. Yes, this is a learning phase and I am learning how to survive in this world!
