Insecurities

Many ravens of insecurities peck my brain,

wound my soul,

feed on my energy,

I grew apart from the ones who loved me,

what was love I no longer knew,

everyone wanted me,

but still they never really wanted me,

that was all I thought,

but that was not it,

what had happened no longer existed,

it vanished in time,

I learned,

a lesson which taught me how to choose,

then again how can I doubt what I chose?

This time I'm wiser,

yes, I am wiser,

Yesterday had no place in heart,

Today is all I have,

Let the ravens of insecurities fly away,

And let the doves of hope lift me up,

yes, there are no more insecurities,

this time I know I am stronger!!
