Happy Periods!

I would like to start with this picture of the Chocolate Cake I brought for me and my sister during our period days which has “Happy Periods” written on it. This is a half Kg cake which was for just me and my sister to eat as a periods sugar craving. All we could think of during that time was cake, chocolate, something to do with a nice cream cake. So we waited more than an hour for that feeling, that craving to pass and then we brought it. When we ordered the cake online, we were asked what to put on the cake, and we couldn’t think something more fitting and fun than “Happy Periods” and we sat there giggling like two teenagers (well, she is a teenager not me) ordering this beautiful and tasy cake. You can say this gesture as doing something for oneself, but you can also consider this as “being weird, being human and feeling totally ok” like this is right. Periods is a natural process, a very good process, which helps us bring life into this world. Then why do we have to keep it hushed not celebrating it.

Period cravings happen to everybody and thats completely ok. Its a healthy way of being in sync with your feelings, with yourself. Never put a pin on what you want to experience for an other day like this one wish we wrote on our cake, its more about you doing it no matter what an other person thinks about it. When you do something for yourself, that harms nobody else, then its your freedom. Its you being normal, its you being you. Not just period cravings, or being your own weird self, but anything you have been longing to do. Take the “longing” out of it and see what change it brings to your internal satisfaction. Let nothing stop you from reaching out to your inner child or your own self. You have to cut some slack for yourself. You have to know whatever you feel is totally normal even if its a dark feeling, let it pass instead of it menancing your mind.

Whatever you feel, its a feeling and its ok.

You dont have to always control your cravings.

You dont always have to control yourself.

You dont have to do the things you dont like.

Nobody has the right to say what to and what not to do. Its in your hands.

Focus on your happiness.

Let loose.

Its not always about career or studies or the big stuffs.

Joke, smile, laugh, be lazy, buy a cake and eat it all by yourself. These are the things that you dont do always.

Dont always make yourself feel like you are on a radar!

And yeah boring days happen.

Days that you feel like questioning yourself happen.

Whatever you are feeling or doing is always normal.
