LET THE SUNSHINE INN!

As the final day of Wfh taken, I had a little privilege of cooking my own breakfast as mummy had to go down to the clinic with fever ( all good just normal flu), I made this dry breadtoast and egg bhurji ( with tomato and pepper). Two slices of bread would be sufficient , one egg and one tomato for a person, well half a tomato will also be sufficient enough for a person in my opinion but I had to use two pans , on one pan I by-mistakely melted the spatula my mum use for brushing butter to her cakes (Im feeling so sorry about it) but I dont often cook breakfast in my defense and I wasnt sleeping much for the past few days due to fever. Then I had to take a new pan and make bhurji, the breakfast was a success whatsoever. But the whole lot of instructions my mum gave was confusing when you use this one pan you can use steel spoons its ok, but when you use this other pan where we make flat breads dont use steel spoons use wooden instead. And where do I find wooden spoon? Oh apparently it was just infront of my eyes, I was not acquained with the position of things in my kitchen. I would say I'm not planning to cook daily, but I don't think Indian men share household chores that much and I feel its all about the upbringing part. In India men are magical creatures, most parents specially from generations back think like they have got a golden goose if its a boy child, the one thats gonna look after them or get huge amount in dowry in the future. I hope with my family I can knock some sense into their thick-skulls( although I must say both my dad and brother cooks) but they are not regular cooks (see thats the point, there is no EQUALITY!) I'm not a feminist, I believe in equality and I'm not sure men understand it- some of them are still in the era of believing "we are the providers and heavylifters" well stop dreaming right? 🙃 when I was in school I used to do some amount of heavy lifting as my mum had hernia and she was not supposed to lift weights. I just feel that even with all this empowerment speaches , awareness and initiatives going on , still the sun has not risen in some peoples minds. LET THE SUNSHINE INN! 🌤🌞
