I was researching on the word selfesteem online to see different interpretations of it. I just wanted to understand if selfesteem has multiple definitions to different people like beauty, which might sound stupid to people reading this. But trust me, selfesteem is one hell of a word that people keep using it in their sentences for a wide range of emotions like sadness, rage, happiness etc and hence sometimes you forget to focus on the importance of selfesteem and just cling on to the word and how that word makes your sentences look powerful.
Selfesteem for me is selfworth, its me understanding and practising that I am worthy rather than waiting for someone to make me feel worthy enough. Its like I am being the nurturer and the supremacy for myself and everything controlable by me will be controlled through practise like my negative thoughts, self acceptance, selflove etc.
We are not restricting ourselves from emotion here, we are practising to control the flow-in of negativity as negativity is something that requires to flow-out. Being open to yourselves, to getting to know yourselves, in accepting your limitations, in nurturing yourself, you are growing towards an abundance postive energy. You derriving motivation from within, to taking the strength from within rather than depending on others is not a way of closing yourself up. Take what is needed from any external systems / influences( here please underline" what is needed").
Selfesteem, again is a journey towards positivity, towards a confident you. Keep yourself grounded and at the same time know that you are precious. Your greatest friend is you. Selfesteem is not lowering your standards or your boundaries to accomodate anybody or anything that can disrupt your harmony. And all of us are learning, with time our definitions might improve and our character might evolve!
