Silence

We have reached a deadend,

We have been walking along so long,

And yet it was hard to speak,

We could have had a lifetime of thoughts shared,

During this journey,

And yet we chose silence,

Silence,

Saying that word makes my tongue go numb,

Such a sad word,

With deep meaning,

Its like an unknown yet familiar dark forest,

Where even a slight crack is not there for light to pass through,

All we do is become experts in learning to know whats around us in the dark,

We no longer search,

We just venture.

We rely on ourselves,

And ourselves alone.

We have lost a companion,

We came alone,

We leave alone.

We loose ourselves,

Over and over again,

But then we find ourselves,

We realise life is not colourful,

But a tease between black, grey and white.

We are not right in what we choose,

We are not wrong in what we choose,

There are no simple answers.

We dont know anybody,

Yet we know somethings of somebody,

A portion of a person,

A portion of a friend,

A portion of a lover,

A portion of ones own children,

Or parents,

Or collegue,

Or anybody we meet on the way,

We see what the other shows us,

And we see a little bit from our observations,

Sometimes we see and unsee,

Dear and near,

Can also become fear and far,

Its only a matter of time,

Adulting doesnt happen overnight,

But overtime,

We dont become adults when we are all 18,

We just become,

Some before 18,

And some after!

There is no saying when,

Life happens,

We mature.

We are not planted at one place,

We are forever on the move,

Atleast metaphorically.

Your old lover will be in the arms of another today,

Your old clothes might not even fit you,

And you forget when was the last time it did,

But then you think does it matter?

An old habit that no longer is a habit,

And a new habit that no longer can be called new if its a habit.

Life!
