Why are we frequently getting panic attacks and / feeling depressed ?

One day, a 26 year old woman was sitting inside her room watching some youtube videos, a fight was going in the other room with her parents. She suddenly felt tensed, like her heart is beating fast, she could stay still, she felt she didnt have control of her situations or her. She was experiencing one of the many panic attacks in her life. She had experienced it before as well, but back the she didnt think so much. A 20 year old woman was sleeping, she woke in the morning crying holding her stomach, no it was not a stomach pain, the pain was beyond physical , she felt like there is a pit in her stomach and like a tornado its pulling her deep within. She was experiencing depression. Panic attack and depression can occur due to various factors, its quiet complex for a common person to narrow it down from his/her feelings , it can arise drom genetical, other biologicalz environkental and psychological reasons. When we analyse a person’s family history we might be able to decode a pattern of anxiety/ depression etc. When a close family member has experienced panic atfacks or depression there is an increased chance of experiencing the same. It can also occur due to the brain chemistry, ie. the imbalance in neurotransmitters which can cause mood disorders like depressiom or anxiety disorder like panic attacks. Panic attacks / depression can also arise from any stressful events occured / occuring in your life or can be related to the trauma you are subjected to. Traumatic experiences can be any form of abuse, death of a loved one, a major life altering situation etc. Chronic stress can occur from ongoing situations in life like financial difficulties or work pressure or relationship issues. Our personality traits such as being pessimistic, low self esteem, perfectionism etc might increase the risk of anxiety disorder or depression. Another contributing factor is medical conditions like thyroid, cardiovascular diseases, chronic pain etc. Another seriois factor will be addiction od alcohol or drugs or some medical prescriptions which can trigger panic attacks or depression. Abnormalities or structural differences in certain areas of the brain can also be a contributing factor to increase the chances of anxiety disorder or depression. Environmental factors cater to alot of our personality traits as an adult, it can also decide how healthy we are in the present. High stress environments / violent environments / childhood neglect or abuse can also increase the chances of developing anxiety disorder or depression at a later stage in our life. Social isolation can be another contributing factor like lack of social support or loneliness which can worsen anxiety or depression. Negativity is another factor, where continuos negative thoughts and cognitive distortion like all or nothing thinking can increase anxiety or depression. A few major reasons I feel can cause these issues would be financial stress combined with abusive parenting , lack of safety and security and ofcourse as a by-product uncertainity about the future.
